Buckwheat Seed is quick-growing, outcompeting weeds and providing an excellent food source for all pollinators. Honeybees love it and it produces very dark honey.
Coverage is approximately 40-55 lbs per acre. Buckwheat can be planted in the spring after all risk of frost is past or in late summer at least 4 weeks before the usual frost date. It usually flowers 4-6 weeks after planting.
