Oxalic Acid | Varroa Mite Control
Oxalic Acid Dihydrate 99.6% is a white crystalline powder used for the control of Varroa mites in honey bee colonies. It can be sublimated into the hive or dissolved in sugar syrup and dribbled or sprayed between the frames.
Apply in late fall to early spring when monitoring indicates treatment is necessary.
Do not use when brood is present.
For Your Safety:
- Always wear impenetrable gloves when handling any form of oxalic acid.
- Protective clothing should be worn to prevent contact with skin.
- A full facepiece respirator with cartridge suitable for Organic acids must be used when vaporizing (sublimating) oxalic acid crystals.
