Come learn the timeless art of cold process soapmaking with Carolynn Prior, in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop!

We’ll guide you step-by-step through a trusted recipe as you create your own batch of beautiful, natural soap — perfect for gifting or treating yourself to a little everyday luxury.

You will go home with 3 cold press soaps in moulds ready for unmoulding after curing for a few weeks. These moulds are winter themed and you can even add greenery and berries to one of your soaps for a very seasonal feel. 

There’s something truly satisfying about turning simple ingredients into gentle, nourishing bars that are safe for the whole family. You’ll leave with several handmade bars and the skills to keep creating at home, decorated with snowflakes.

What creative skills you will learn:

How oils and lye chemically react to become soap,

proper handling, mixing, protective gear and what NOT to do

How to use scales, calculate oil ratios, and understand how different fats affect hardness, later, and conditioning

How to manage the temperatures of oils and lye solution so the batch behaves the way you want

The technique of using silicone moulds to create gorgeous soaps

This workshop is suitable for ages 10+ with close adult supervision. We’ll be working with lye, so safety is key — please bring an apron and eye protection. Let’s get sudsy!
