Hogg Halfcomb Honey Frames

Now, one of the best comb honey systems has become even easier. The “New” Hogg Halfcomb Frame offers a simple and easy way to make premium comb honey using the honey supers you already have. Each frame holds eight Hogg Square cassettes and includes the lids. During a strong honey flow, simply insert one or several Halfcomb frames into the center of a honey super. Fill the remaining space with your honey frames. Let the bees do the rest.

How it works:

• The frame consists of two halves that each contain 4 square cassettes. The two halves of the frame are held together by built-in pins, plus a piece of tape if desired.
• The frame is inserted into the hive. It takes the place of two standard Langstroth frames.
• After the bees build and fill the comb, the frame is removed. The two halves are disassembled, and then the combs are removed.
• The lids are then installed on the combs, and held in place with Halfcomb labels.
• The combs should be placed in the freezer to eliminate any potential wax moth larvae.
• Refill the frame with new cassettes to use again.
