It really upset the hive when I put it directly over tge top super. I found it more effective to remove the top super, wall away from the hive and place it on a diagonal over a hive cover, and then put the fume board on. The bees escaped out the super bottom and cleared tge frames in a couple of minutes I covered tge super with an inner cover and placed it squarely inside the lid, so no more bees could reenter it. There was no robber‘s present. I’m assuming because of the smell. It worked very well.

First time using a fume board it appears it works fast
